About Summit
A quiet room, seven tutors, and a lot of scratch paper.
Summit Tutoring opened on 123 Main Street in 2016 with two desks and a whiteboard borrowed from a garage. We are still small on purpose: enough tutors to cover the subjects the local schools assign, few enough that the owner knows every student by name.
Most families find us the same way. Someone at a soccer game mentions that their kid stopped crying about math homework, and we get a call that night.

Four things we say to every family at the trial session.

The gap is never where the grade says
A failing algebra test is usually a fractions problem wearing a costume. We test backward until we find the real one.

Confidence is the first subject
A kid who believes they are bad at math will not try. We spend the first sessions proving that idea wrong, then the content moves fast.

Parents should never be surprised
Notes the same night, a plan you can read, and a straight answer when a student is not putting the work in.

We say when we are not the fit
If a student needs an evaluation or a specialist we do not have, we say so and point you somewhere useful.

- Every tutor passes a background check before their first session (placeholder policy)
- Sessions happen in open rooms with glass doors, never behind a closed one
- Online sessions are recorded and the link is shared with the parent on request
